TEAM REGISTRATION


There are three components to the MSI Classic Teams Registration (assuming a new team has been approved to enter league by submitting coaching application and attending a new coaches orientation session).   This information is for the Fall 2010 Classic League

Part 1
- US Club Staff Background Check. NEW TEAMS: Once Fall 2010 registration opens, two carded officials must complete a form; One must be the head coach, the second should be the assistant coach, a trainer, or the manager. ONLY two should be completed. (Only one background form needs to be completed if you are associated with more than one team.) You must record the confirmation number each official receives from US Club Soccer upon completion of the form submittal, and this confirmation number must be entered into the MSI Classic Team Registration in order to proceed.  RETURNING TEAMS: If you are with a Classic team currently and have remembered to save your confirmation number from last season, or within the last two years, you should enter that number into the Team Registration.  If you do NOT have your confirmation saved, you must complete a new background form before beginning the team registration.

Part 2 - MSI Classic Team Registration will be completed online and, once complete, a registration confirmation should be printed and a check sent into MSI to complete your registration for teams placement. Fees will be due on June 24th, 2010. 

Part 3 - Classic Team Schedule Request NOW OPEN!  The deadline to submit a request will be July 26, 2010.
PLEASE NOTE that although not reflected in the schedule request, MSI WILL be scheduling games on the Saturday and Sunday of Columbus Day weekend (October 9 and 10). If you need a bye for one of those dates please add the request in the free box field.
ALSO! - Games will likely be scheduled for play on Saturday September 18 which is the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur unless a bye request has been made by the team. Coaches, please check with your team to be sure that you have enough players for that date. If not, please reflect that in your schedule request.

FALL 2010 MSI Classic Fees FOR ALL TEAMS ENTERING THE LEAGUE which INCLUDES the league fee, US Club player Registration Fees required by all select leagues, and 1 referee for U10-U12 games and 3 referees for all U13 and above games. A small portion of this fee also goes to MSI's field development fund.

NOTE:
For player registration for U15/above teams, league fees cover a roster size of 18, and any additional players over that amount will be charged at $16/player rostered.

Mandatory Meeting for all new teams managers will be held Thursday, July 6th or Tuesday July 13th, 7-9:30pm, location TBD.  New managers of existing teams are also welcome to attend.

Mandatory Classic Distribution for FALL 2010 Classic Teams on Tuesday, August 31 2010, MSI Offices. One representative from each team can pick up their teams materials anytime from 1.30-7:30pm.  Address and directions can be found under ABOUT US >STAFF

GENERAL INFORMATION ON CLASSIC TEAM REGISTRATION

To reserve a place in the Spring or Fall Classic League, a team's MSI approved coach/manager must submit certain information (see above) and a check for the appropriate amount to the MSI Office by the published deadline ( late-June for the Fall season, mid-January for the Spring season). Individuals wishing to become approved Classic coaches of Classic teams should review the information on the coach's application page,  on the MSI Classic website or should contact Sarah Williams, Classic Program Manager, at sarah@msisoccer.org.

Unlike MSI Recreation Soccer, individuals cannot register through the MSI Office for Classic Soccer. After trying out for and being selected to play for a Classic team, an individual player registers for Classic Soccer through their team's coach/manager. (In addition, U-10, U-11, and U-12 players interested in becoming Classic players may have to successfully complete a Skills Evaluation.

To comply with US Youth Soccer carding rules as modified by a leagues governing soccer association, league, and club, each Classic team's coach/manager must submit certain information to their league registrar by the published deadline (August 3rd for NEW teams entering the Classic League for Fall 2010, August 10th for RETURNING teams)
